This beautiful, sweet and wonderful cat was a victim of mutilation. She had a ten toe amputation and is not a fan of standing in gravel to poop. Go figure! Like many of my cases, this one involved a medical component and now, with the help of pain medication, she uses her box most of the time. These cases are often managed and not completely fixed. Adopting a declawed cat means you are adopting a handicapped cat. This wonderful family now knows and understands this which makes the accidents a little easier to live with. Met with empathy and less frustration. They are fewer are farther between that when we met, but declawed cats have litter box avoidance and that is just the fact of the matter.
