We did a trial adoption of an energetic two-year-old orange tabby boy we named Elliott. Two hours after I proudly announced to the rescue organization that we were officially adopting him, Elliott revealed another side of his personality that involved chasing his older brother and sister and engaging in undesired rough housing, which completely freaked the older two cats out. Much thanks to Ingrid’s advice, Elliott is now calm, cool, and collected. He still loves to frolic and play with his younger sister, but he respects the boundaries of the less playful cats. In addition, Ingrid’s guidance helped us provide a more enriching and stimulating environment for all of our cats.
